The Thais know how to do shopping malls and at the top of these skyscrapers, you’ll nearly always find a cinema to match the standard. You can see a film for just a couple of hundred baht, or alternatively go for for one of the more high-end options. Tate was visiting us from England, so we splashed out on two tickets to the fancy Bangkok Airways cinema, at the top of Siam Paragon.
For 1500 baht a pair, we enjoyed a pre-movie massage, big tub of popcorn and large drink each, delivered to our luxurious seats. The seats themselves were amazing – they fully reclined and came with a silk blanket and pillow. It was pricey but totally worth it and such a good way to spend an afternoon – especially if you’re wondering what to do during Bangkok’s monsoon season!
Don’t forget to stand for the national anthem before the film begins, I scrambled out of my fully reclined seat just in time…
