It’s difficult to select Bangkok’s number 1 forte; the food, the weather, the people, the architecture, the nightlife… But a strong contestant has got to be the shopping centres. Our firm favourite is Terminal 21 next to Asok BTS station.
Board Terminal 21 and jet off to a variety of destinations – each floor has the theme of a different city. Whether you want tiny trinkets, vintage clothing, expensive jewellery, a wedding gown or cheap but delicious food, from Tokyo to San Francisco, there’s a floor (and city) to meet your needs.
Incidentally, should you find yourself (like Charlotte) quite averse to Bangkok’s many squat toilets, the toilets here are a tourist attraction in themselves. Complete with remote control, you can adjust the seat and water temperature to suit your requirements!
