ST PATRICK’S DAY IN BANGKOK

St. Patrick’s day and partying go hand in hand, and we weren’t going to let a small thing like being 8000 miles east of Ireland prevent us from bulk buying the pints of Guinness and jigging barefoot all night long.

The Dubliner pub in Phrom Phong of course took St Paddy’s Day as seriously as us and we were pleased to discover that seemingly all the Irish in Bangkok were loudly celebrating there.

Probably not Sarah’s first Guinness of the night…

Thankfully, the band (straight out of Galway, Ireland) were very open to requests, so our favourites (which we’re sure everyone else loved) were played all night, ranging from abusive Irish slurs to lesser-known folk songs! Everyone in the pub got on board and it was great to see the Thai customers embracing the night Irish-style, pint in one hand and beating the table with the other. Whilst seemingly a tad confused, they appeared to have a brilliant night!

The pub was filled with Irish lovers from around the world!

Just as exciting, was the news that the Dubliner has live music every weekend and even holds a ladies’ night every Saturday, offering cheap drinks and half price food… SOLD.

Cheers!
